Here are our (only slightly late) most anticipated releases of the week!
Jared is looking forward to:
Some very underappreciated blackened death metal from one dude out of Sweden.
You’ve probably already heard it, but this record is crazy. It’s meloblack that’s so melodic it sounds like power metal.
Swedish-style OSDM in the vein of Gorement, Unleashed, Dismember but with some technical flairs, made by a bunch of Finnish teenagers. The kids are alright.
War metal on 20 Buck Spin.
Swiss black/doom nastiness.
Nathan is looking forward to:
A follow-up to a pretty good 2022 demo. Nganga play concise black metal and are building a good track record.
They call themselves math rock/post-hardcore. In any case, there are some interesting sounds on here, enough to get me to check out their back catalogue.
I went into this assuming it was death metal from the name only. It is not. It is still work listening to.
