Upcoming Albums – October, 4th

Here are Metal Utopia’s most anticipated albums of the week!

Ethan is looking forward to Slutvomit’s Copulation of Cloven Hooves:

Slutvomit – Copulation of Cloven Hooves

Slutvomit returns with their old style of thrashing Black/Death that sounds properly primitive and evil. This one is sure to cause some speakers to combust and heads to explode.

JP is looking forward to Spite’s The Root of All Evil:

Spite – The Root of All Evil

Spite are know for releasing absolutely simple yet filthy and effective tracks. They’re more of a deathcore/hardcore hybrid, and with that being said, there is no doubt that this album will make me want to kick something.

Leon is looking forward to Boris’s LφVE & EVφL, Dysrhythmia’s Terminal Threshold, Hangman’s Chair’s Bus de Nuit, and Insomnium’s Heart Like A Grave:

Boris – LφVE & EVφL

You never, ever, know what to expect from Boris next. Like, not even the base genre of the music. I’ll just spin this double album when I get my hands on it, completely oblivious of what’s about to slap me in the face. I trust Boris. I’ll probably like the pain.

Dysrhythmia – Terminal Threshold

Colin Marston’s and Kevin Hufnagel’s circus of turbulent tech is back in town. Get your ears confused again ’cause you know these boys don’t play 4/4.

Hangman’s Chair – Bus de Nuit

Frenchmen Hangman’s Chair got that urban depression vibe down to a T. It’s like Saint Vitus’ Dying Inside except it’s not just alcohol that’s killing you, nor exclusively physical things for that matter. Get that punch of haggard doom with this short EP.

Insomnium – Heart Like A Grave

Insomnium fans have learned to be super hyped for each of their releases, and for good reason. The same is valid here, and with the more downtrodded themes they promised, you know this one is gonna tug on your heartstrings.

Matthew M is looking forward to Freakings’s Rise of Violence:

Freakings – Rise of Violence

This Swiss metal band has some pretty solid riffing that pays tribute to the thrash gods of old. Hopefully, Rise of Violence will shred just as much as their previous album.
