Here are Metal Utopia’s most anticipated albums of the week!
Leon is looking forward to Grimdad’s Dad Reputation, and Jucifer’s Nazm:
There’s a bit of a lack of interesting releases this week, so here’s another gimmick black metal band, this time with stale internet humor. Is it worth more time than a slight snort upon learning of its existence? Probably not.
Sludge/stoner/punk/noise rock/whatever goes power duo Jucifer haven’t released a record since 2014. Here’s to hoping they melt our faces off once again.
Rick is looking forward to Lords of Black’s Alchemy of Souls:
The fourth album by this Spanish heavy/power quartet; its predecessors were simple, yet well-made releases, perfectly fit for an hour of honest, good fun. Perhaps it won’t be AOTY-worthy material, but I’m sure it won’t disappoint me either.
Rutger is looking forward to Sólstafir’s Endless Twilight of Codependent Love:
Icelandic post-metal formation Sólstafir releases seventh full-length this Friday. The singles have been promising, so I’m looking forward to hearing the full album.
“The demo was better.”
