Here are Metal Utopia’s most anticipated albums of the week!
Chaz is looking forward to Terminalist’s The Great Acceleration:
Five hypersonic tracks of progressive tech thrash as black as the vacuum of space. Commence countdown.
Leon is looking forward to Fange’s Pantocrator, and Dawn Ray’d’s Wild Fire EP:
Impressive sludge/industrial mix that knows when to crush with full force and when to mix it up a bit to keep things interesting. If you’re a fan of the aforementioned styles, treat yourself with this one.
Short EP from the English anarchist black metal band. They’ve got a very good grasp on the melodic atmo-black style so new stuff from them is always nice.
Rick is looking forward to Artillery’s X:
Artillery have made it to their tenth album, despite lineup changes, two splits-up and lately the death of a founding member. Nevertheless the band stays afloat and reaffirm their dominance in the realm of heavy/thrash metal, or so it seems from the singles we’ve heard so far.
Rutger is looking forward to Inferno’s Paradeigma (Phosphenes of Aphotic Eternity):
After their impressive 2017 album Gnosis Kardias and a split they made with Devathorn, Inferno will release their eighth full-length this Friday. With their haunting black metal with spiritual themes, I can’t wait to hear what their new album will sound like.
“The demo was better.”
