Here are Metal Utopia’s most anticipated albums of the week!
Hannes is looking forward to Body Count’s Carnivore:
Ice T and the boys are back with their seventh studio album. As AMG put it: “On several glorious occasions Carnivore reflects the heart and soul of the true Body Count: thrashy, socially conscious, and extremely pissed off.”
JP is looking forward to Novena’s Eleventh Hour, and Viscera’s Obsidian:
This will be the debut record from supergroup, Novena. Novena features members of Haken, Slice the Cake, Slugdge, and ex-The HAARP Machine. This is bound to be something truly special as the line up alone already speaks volumes.
Viscera is a newly formed band, including ex-Sylosis and Heart of a Coward vocalist, Jamie Graham, and this is bound to be yet another stellar death metal / tech deathcore release. I haven’t listened to any of the singles yet but I’ve heard nothing but fantastic things about this band.
Leon is looking forward to My Dying Bride’s The Ghost of Orion:
Dredging the depths of sorrow since 1990, the legendary English doom metal band still haven’t found the bottom. Their recent material has been top notch, and I don’t doubt their 14th full-length will be as well.
Nathan is looking forward to Vredehammer’s Viperous:
Vredehammer’s last album, Violator, was a fantastic blackened death metal album with few frills. Hoping that Viperous can meet the same heights.
“The demo was better.”
