Here are our most anticipated releases of the week!
Some fine death/doom from Portugal. Emotionally high-stakes music with memorable guitar riffs and solid song-writing.
Me Saco Un Ojo Records can always be relied upon to release interesting death metal, and this week is no different. This is more of the grimy, riff-focused pummeling death that you’d expect from this label. Solid debut.
Fagus give us another, completely different debut recording worth checking out. This is black metal with its heart bare. It might be too repetitive for some, but if you’re into atmospheric black metal check this out.
Third debut record in a row, this time some weird death metal from Transcending Obscurity records. This reminds me of Ad Nauseam, and while Ignominy is not as off-the-walls as Ad Nauseam they do give us a worthy contribution to the “weird death metal” genre.
Straight-forward grind metal from Poland. No tricks, no flourishes, just a great time.
This might be too long for some, but those who can last out the album will find some enjoyable and interesting prog. The songs justify their length, and can be pretty catchy for an album of this size.
