Here are Metal Utopia’s most anticipated albums of the week!
Rutger and Spenser are looking forward to Deafheaven’s Infinite Granite:
Post-black metal legends Deafheaven release their fifth full-length album this Friday. The singles have been promising, and I can’t wait to hear the rest of the record.
I’ve been missing some wonderful blackgaze from my life, lately. Each album these guys create makes me a bigger fan.
Nathan is looking forward to Diskord’s Degenerations, and Aenigmatum’s Deconsecrate:
Weird, lanky, proggy death. There has been a ton of great death metal this year, and hopefully Diskord will add to that pile.
Speeking of great death metal, here’s another one. I’ll say more in a review, but for now just know that it’s been a blast to listen to.
Spenser is looking forward to Between The Buried And Me’s Colors II, and Wolves In The Throne Room’s Primordial Arcana:
A sequel to one of their best albums ever? Yes please. Not to mention these guys have yet to release a bad album. It’s a win-win here.
Is it cheating if I’ve already reviewed this and still “looking forward” to it? Spoiler alert: it’s very good.
“The demo was better.”
