Here are Metal Utopia’s most anticipated albums of the week!
Jared is looking forward to The Halo Effect’s Days of the Lost, Mimorium’s The Route of Haeresis, Hell Fire’s Reckoning, and Acid Blade’s Power Drive:
Been looking forward to this one for a while. I absolutely love early In Flames, and these former members are bringing back the style that In Flames seem to have forgotten. Can’t wait to hear this one.
I’ve already reviewed it, but this is some quality black metal. Be sure to check this one out.
Some quality heavy/speed metal out of San Francisco, the single was a ripper. Check this one out.
Some sick heavy metal out of Germany. The single on this one was killer, and I can’t wait to hear the full thing.
Leon is looking forward to The Halo Effect’s Days of The Lost, and Boris’ Heavy Rocks:
A veritable melodeath supergroup featuring ex-members of In Flames (including Jesper Stromblad) and Dark Tranquility’s own vocalist Mikael Stanne. The singles were some very good stuff, and the album is shaping up to be a beast.
I guess Boris plan on regularly whipping out records until the day they die. Sure, their career lately has been a bit hit and miss, but they can still hit really good. This is the third album bearing the Heavy Rocks name, so expect some ripping stoner metal.
“The demo was better.”
