Album of the Month

Album Of The Month – March 2023

Every month we collect our favorite albums. Here are our favorite albums of the month March:

Jared:

Majesties – Vast Reaches Unclaimed

Obvious one for me, check out my review of it for more detail. This record is absolutely wonderful, and it easily tops March.

Connor:

Ne Obliviscaris – Exul

Expectations for this band are so high that even when a release doesn’t exceed them, it still shines. Another strong entry from one of the premiere prog metal bands.

Spenser:

Periphery – Periphery V: Djent Is Not A Genre

Since Connor already mentioned NeO, I suppose I should mention the equally incredible new Periphery. Their previous albums never clicked with me, but this one does. An absolute masterpiece.

Matthew:

August Burns Red – Death Below

I’ll be the black sheep and go with a metalcore release this time. The new ABR album has everything fans have come to expect from one of the premiere ‘core bands: furious riffs, delicious breakdowns, and gnarly screams.

Nathan:

Gorod – The Orb

I have a soft spot for unapologetic tech death. Gorod have been at this for a while, and although some of their albums have a share of issues, I’ve never disliked a Gorod release. The Orb continues this trend.
